The announcement published by the Ministry of Environment and Energy on December 18, 2024 concerns the subsidy program “Storage Systems for Businesses”, which aims to support businesses in the installation of energy storage systems. The subsidy for the acquisition of batteries varies depending on the size of the business.

Specifically, the subsidy ranges:

For large businesses: 30%

For medium-sized businesses 40%

For small businesses: 50%

 

What the new program brings

The program aims to support both small and large businesses, providing incentives for the installation of photovoltaic systems, in order to support their energy needs with renewable energy sources.

With a total budget of 160 million euros, the program is expected to support over 3,000 businesses, strengthening their energy autonomy and contributing to the sustainable development of the economy.

Battery subsidy limits In the case of batteries, the maximum eligible expenditure for batteries with a capacity of one hour cannot exceed €400,000/MWh.

Correspondingly, for batteries with a capacity of one to two hours, the upper limit is set at €350,000/MWh.

The reduction in energy costs The burden of energy costs on the operating expenses of the company
